Although the Hamlet of Stein is blessed with both a Michelin starred restaurant and an excellent Inn Groceries will require a short trip. There are several well-stocked Co-ops on the way to Beachcomber cottage located in Kyle of Lochalsh, Broadford and Portree.
The nearest grocer to Beachcomber is in Dunvegan, the Fasgadh Stores, and carries a good selection of fresh food as does the Atholl petrol station which is also the nearest petrol station to Beachcomber. Travelling north to Uig for either the Fairy Glen, Falls of Rha or the Trotternish ridge you will find Rankins store, which seems to have just about everything. There is also another petrol station near the ferry in Uig.
